CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

“THE JOURNEY” FOR CHILDREN – For ages 0 to 12

Children are important people at London First Church of the Nazarene and we are committed to working with you and your child towards the goal of becoming Spirit-filled disciples of Christ.

Our Vision for children’s ministry at LFCN is to partner with parents in cultivating personal spiritual growth in children.

Our Mission is to provide the best possible instruction, care, guidance and modelling of the Word of God for children, parents and their leaders.

• The Word of God is our Curriculum
• Nazarene Publishing House and other evangelical printed materials, resources, budgets and programs are our resources, and . . .
• Adult and Teen Volunteers are our living examples demonstrating the love of God and holy lives to children.

Our Philosophy is that each child is a child of God, therefore, they are to be loved, valued, and nurtured in their faith as they become committed disciples of Jesus Christ. Children are important to God and to us at London First Church of the Nazarene and we want only the best for our children!

All of our children’s ministries programs are intended to meet at least one of the following biblical purposes: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry or Evangelism.

SUNDAY MORNING JOURNEY

11:00 a.m. A group of screened and trained volunteers will love and teach your child in the name of Jesus.

Nursery Ministries – Ages 2 and younger
The nursery is unstaffed but available for parents to take and supervise their young children. Some media may be available for parents to share biblical stories with their children.

Early Childhood & Grade School Ministries
All children participate in the first 15 minutes of the 11:00 A.M. Morning Worship Service, then go to various graded ministries.

Pre-Kindergarten – Ages 3 – 6
For this age our priority is for the young child to enjoy learning about God and His Bible. By the time a child is five years old, he/she will have learned the basic stories of creation, the Old Testament, and life of Christ.

Grade School Ministries – Grades 1 – 7
Our goal for these children is to both have fun and be spiritually challenged. By the sixth grade children will have reviewed the major stories and themes of the Bible at least 4 times.
